- I read “I’m Still Here” Black dignity in a world made for Whiteness last week and it was incredible. I highly recommend it.
- I’m currently reading Kamala Harris’ book and am really loving that too. I love reading political autobiographies from every perspective. In college, I had a professor who would have us read the news and then write perspectives for both sides. I later had another professor who would have guest lectures every Friday from two opposing opinions back to back. This was so eye opening and really broadened my perspectives and I’ve tried to do this in the news I read (reading opposing stories), research I read (read opposing research), politically, etc. This is a practice I really love that helps me personally with being open minded and thinking abt things from a new perspective. I really love Kamala Harris as a person (but also politically 😉) and listening has been amazing. So far I’ve listened to a book by Hillary Clinton, Laura Bush, Michelle Obama, John McCain, Ruth Bader Ginsberg, Pete Buttigeg, Fire and Fury abt Trump (not an autobiography), and Kamala Harris.
- PaleoValley meat sticks. The ingredients are perfect and we love these! We’ve only tried the teriyaki beef, orange cranberry turkey, and original turkey. We loved the beef ones, but the turkey ones something was off on the flavor and texture so I don’t recommend the turkey ones.
- PaleoValley dark chocolate chip bars. I love these! Dal doesn’t love them, but likes them. The ingredients are amazing and they even have veggies and bone broth in it (doesn’t taste like that!). I’ve yet to try anything from Paleo Valley I don’t love and their quality is impeccable. I try to avoid monk fruit and stevia for many reasons, one being that they can be hard on your digestion, but I reached out to them and feel comfortable with their processing, I just still wish they were sweetened with maple, honey, or coconut! They have a money back guarantee on all their products too.
- I’ve heard a lot about menstrual cups, but have been nervous especially about materials, but I’ve been using Cora cup lately and really love it. There’s definitely a learning curve and some heart attacks when you’re figuring out how to take it out the first 2 or 3 times😅 but overall I love it and it’s so much less hassle, cost effective, and more eco friendly!
- Still LOVING Daily Harvest. My latest favorite is the kale sweet potato flat bread. The ingredients are perfect!
- My two favorite smoothies are mint cacao and black sesame ingredients are as follows respectively:
Lastly, the black sesame ice cream is my favorite treat from them!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
