These are amazing!! For some reason, the color isn’t coming through great, but don’t let that stop you 😉 They are from the Toasted Pine Nut! I love the back story from her blog and her awesome recipes!
Recipe Notes:
- I used this caramel recipe and doubled it instead of her caramel
- I used this chocolate chip recipe, and just used enough chocolate to cover 1 full layer (not overlapping). Add more or less depending on how much choc you like in your Carmelitas!
- I subbed date sugar for coconut sugar
- I subbed maple syrup for agave
- I subbed almond butter for peanut butter
- I used ghee as suggested
