Homemade chocolate chips! Recipe courtesy of Sweet Laurel! She has a recipe in her book (which I highly recommend!) that I think is slightly better, but this one works great too! I used this recipe forever before I got the book!
I always double this and keep it in the freezer to always have on hand! When I have a bigger fridge, I’ll quadruple it and freeze it.

My adjustments are as follows:
- I add more maple syrup than her (I add 3 Tablespoons per batch)
- I would recommend having your measured maple syrup ready to go before you even start cooking the chocolate, then take it off the stove before it’s even done cooking (she recommends this in her book). because it can get clumpy and burn fast, especially when you add the maple syrup! You want it smooth and spreadable
